The Gift Giver

The truck and trailer were both loaded to the brim. The man stared in amazement at the many things he no longer had any use for. His family was grown, he was on his own; he had decided to redecorate and begin anew. Opting not to sell the items, he drove to the thrift store down the street. The workers were ecstatic at the quality of the things he brought in. They happily unloaded it; he declined a receipt and joked with them, telling them he had all these things he couldn’t use; he really only needed a square coffee table to finish his house. The following day he went to check on a job site and helped the homeowner with a load she was taking out. It was a square Tommy Bahama coffee table and a rocker. ‘If you know anyone who needs these things tell them to come by.’ He left with both. The giver had become the receiver!

This happens far more frequently than you might imagine. It is called being in the flow of life, where things that are wanted or needed flow back to us just after we give something to another that they need. It is universal law demonstrating the process of paying it forward. There is a standing joke that as soon as you clean out your closet and give things away someone nearly beats you back home to give you something you can use. Seemingly there is a master sorter directing the goods and services.

The only real rule is to give something without expectation of return to someone who needs it and watch the very things you need return to you; it is the boomerang in the cheerful giver game of life. If you are ever feeling particularly frustrated about something you need and can’t see the way to getting it, find a real need and fill it with a gift. This act opens the door for your good to flow back to you. The things you are looking for will return to you as a gift.

If your money supply is running low and you can’t see the way to pay something, buy a meal for a homeless person or gift something that matters. Do it quick before your own supply is emptied! Alter your course and change your fate by opening the door and stepping into the flow of life. Fill a need and yours will be filled from another source, one you may never see. Soon your cup will be running over!

Portable Honda Generators – The EU Series

Portable Honda Generators – The EU Series
By [http://EzineArticles.com/expert/Jerry_Siegel/77315]Jerry Siegel

The versatile line of Portable Honda Generators has been around for many years. In this article I will discuss the virtues of the very popular EU Series of Generators. This series consists of the eu1000, the eu2000, the eu3000 and the eu6500.

Known as Honda’s Super Quiet Series, they are super good at producing sound levels as low as 59 decibels. That means you can carry on a normal conversation while standing right next to one of these engineering marvels. So anywhere sound levels are a concern, the EU series is a perfect match.

EU series generators use inverter technology to make clean, stable, sine wave power. Most electronics are very sensitive to the quality of power supplied to them. Whether you get a Honda or another brand, if you are using the generator with electronics, laptop computers and the like, you must use an inverter generator to protect your investment.

If you are not aware Honda is producing a Jet called the Honda Jet. What is amazing about this company is their ability to scale the same research, engineering and attention to production detail that they use to create the Honda Jet, down to their generator line. And for that matter every product they produce.

The eu1000 is the smallest of the bunch, producing 1000 watts on clean electronic friendly power. As long as your power demands are light this unit will work well and uses very little fuel. It is ideal for laptops, lights, TVs, small power tools, and other low load electrical devices such as battery chargers.

Next in line the eu2000 produces the same clean power but bumps the energy delivered to 2000 watts. Now you have enough power to run the microwave, a small electric heater, or larger power tools. This is the generator of choice for many RVers. It is light enough to pack around easily and meets most of their energy needs.

At 3000 watts the eu3000 is no light weight. It makes lots of power at the expense portability. While it is portable, it takes some muscle to get it where you want it. That being said it is the first of the Super Quiet Series that can run air conditioners. However it can only run one at a time. It is also a good selection if you need to operate several items at one time.

The grand daddy of this line is the eu6500. With this generator you’ll have enough power to run multiple AC units with power to spare. It is great at supplying enough power for outdoor events. Performing groups favor it because it will keep the stage lit and power amplifiers, musical instruments and such, without doing damage to these delicate electronics. But at 260 pounds, you really got to need all of this power before you’d be willing to wrestle it into position.

As you can see there is a Portable Honda Generator to fit nearly any need. Their quite operation and remarkable fuel economy far out weight the most common complaint you will hear about them. And that is their price tag. You heard it before, but I feel it covers these generators well, “you get what you pay for.”

Jerry Siegel writes articles and publishes websites about products that are of general interest. You should check my latest website at Portable Honda Generators [http://www.portablehondagenerators.com], where I discusses and provide insight into these generators, including the very popular eu1000i [http://www.portablehondagenerators.com/honda_eu1000i.html], eu2000, and eu3000.

Love and Passion For Success

Love and Passion For Success
By [http://EzineArticles.com/expert/Pankaj_Mistry/257221]Pankaj Mistry

Are you doing what you are doing because you love to do it or are you working because of something else? In this article we will look at how you can create success by loving what you do.

From childhood, we learn that we have to work hard to achieve success. We also have learned that it takes lot of blood, sweat and tears to taste success. This is what our parents, elders, school and society teaches us, which gradually becomes our reality. As we start to work, most of us think and believe that to work hard is something that we must do, but in reality we should be working on something that we love or like or are interested in.

Life should challenging and fun, both while we work and while we do not work. Most people think and talk about pleasure when they are not working, but without work, the free time cannot carry the same value. If people are free for one year they cannot enjoy the time!

Highly successful people are the ones who do their work with lots of passion and excitement. If they are not enjoying and excited they cannot have the energy to move ahead every year. Life can only succeed with passion and when it disappears there is no more driving force left.

Think of the love and passion you had in the past or for someone in your life. It can be love a friend, or a child. It is so nice to meet them and have that lovely feeling. Just imagine if you possess the same love and passion for anything you are working with. What will be the result? You will smell this passion in the air and will attract more people who would like to associate with you. Now compare this with the person who only serves to get salary. You will soon realize who will be successful.

If there is love and passion, anything is possible. Think of Thomas Edison without his love and passion for electric bulb and definitely you will realize what I am trying to convey. This is what separates a performer a mediocre person. The passion for work. There cannot be success without passion! With goal-setting and passion even a minor team of baseball can succeed.

Now attitude is everything. That is what we have learned to believe. Think of children who love to be in the rain, till they hear their parents yelling at them. From that day onwards, the child relates rain with something negative. Is your rainy day full of negativity or is it successful? This depends on what you choose!

Ask following questions and get back your driving force:
Do I have that I need for success?
Do I possess love and passion for my life?
Do I love my job or business?
Do I work for creating success?
How can I create love and passion for my job and my life?
Be sure to make the required changes in order to be successful. I have observed that people who create love and passion in what they do achieve the success that other people dream of. Good luck for love and passion in your work and in your life for success! God bless you.

3 Fun Secret Santa Games For the Holidays

3 Fun Secret Santa Games For the Holidays
By [http://EzineArticles.com/expert/Ellie_Evergreen/409107]Ellie Evergreen

If you are looking for a fun low cost way to give presents to loved ones and friends this holiday season a great idea is Secret Santa. Secret Santa is a holiday tradition in which family and friends anonymously give each other gifts. It is a holiday tradition that is found in most Western and European countries and is so popular it is not only by families but also by companies and schools when the Christmas holiday comes around. If your family or group wants to do Secret Santa you have to know the rules. Here are some different versions of the game and how they are played. You will be sure to find one that is not only fun but also meets your needs for the holidays.

The most common version is the one you are probably familiar with from work or school. Before Christmas everyone who wants to participate signs up and receives a wish list or budget. Normally it would be a list compiled of what everyone would consider to be a nice but affordable gift. In most cases the stipulation of a budget is used for more interesting outcomes. Make sure to make it around $20 to $30 bucks to make it decent. On Christmas Eve or Christmas Day each participant gives their gift to their assigned recipient. The beauty is the surprise of what the gift might be and everyone gets to get into the giving spirit of the Holidays.

Another form of the game is called Thieving Santa. The same rules as the original version apply. However there are twists. In the original version the names of the recipients are on each gift. So it generally stays with the person it was meant for. In the Thieving Santa, recipients don’t know if the gift was meant for them. There are no name tags. Rather they have to pick their gift at random. They then have two options they can switch their gift with a new one or another persons.

A more interesting version that families can play is naughty or nice. This version is actually much more fun. A wide range of Christmas gifts are bought based on what was on family members’ wish lists and some hunches the purchasers had. There are also some gag gifts for the naughty included. This can be anything from a lump of coal to a single sock. The fun begins when everyone has to randomly choose their presents. In this first phase of the game the goal is to avoid being the “naughty” one. This means avoiding getting the worst present possible. Participants can trade if they fear they have the box with the naughty present but only once. The person who gets the best gift wins. In the second part some of the presents will be missing something. For example a remote controlled car missing batteries and a set of batteries without any present. The object of the next phase is to wheel and deal to complete each gift set.

Something else you can do is have your children receive special letters from Santa. You can order them online while you shop for gifts for your Secret Santa. The letters have post marks from the North Pole and Santa’s signature.

Create magic in your child’s eyes with our [http://www.ezsantaletters.com/catalog/Santa_Letters-1-1.html]letters from Santa & [http://www.ezsantaletters.com/pages/santa_calls.html]Santa calls. EZSantaLetters.com offers fully personalized Santa letters and 15 pre-written Santa letters. All letters are postmarked from the North Pole and will definitely put a smile on your child’s face.

Easy Christmas Candy Recipes

Easy Christmas Candy Recipes
By [http://EzineArticles.com/expert/Karen_M_Ciancio/127925]Karen M Ciancio

Even if you are not a big candy eater, Christmas candy recipes are really welcomed during the holidays.

No matter how much we vow to eat healthy during the holidays, no matter how much we may swear off sweets, there is something quite wonderful about having at least a little bit of delicious Christmas candy now and then. It’s not all year after all.

I make just a few of my favorite Christmas candy recipes at the beginning of the season. It is a busy time of year, so it is always best to use quick and easy candy recipes and make them when you have a few minutes.

Make things that are easily stored, so you can make them ahead of when they will be most needed. Of course not too far ahead or they’ll be sure to be gone by the big day.

These fantastic homemade Christmas candies will be such a hit at any event you host during the holidays. They are also a nice addition to a holiday dessert table with other Christmas desserts.

Almond Bark Candy

Almond bark is so easy to make! It has always been one of my favorite Christmas candy recipes.

You can vary the recipe to suit your taste. Don’t like raisins? Simply leave them out. If you like peanuts or pecans rather than almonds, use them instead. Try making half of the recipe made with white chocolate and half made with regular chocolate.

1 pound of white or regular chocolate
1/2 cups of raisins
1/2 cup of almonds, chopped

Melt chocolate until smooth. Add raisins and almonds. Pour onto wax paper – this will be a fairly thin candy. Let cool, then break into pieces.

Tip: Try making the almond bark using 1/2 a pound of white chocolate and 1/2 a pound of dark chocolate and carefully stir them together with the end of a wooden spoon or some other utensil to marble your final product. Be careful though that you just mix it a bit or you will end up with tan-colored almond bark.

Coconut Joys

Everyone seems to love coconut. This would be one of my mother’s favorite Christmas candy recipes.

1/2 cup of butter or margarine
2 cups of powdered sugar
3 cups of shredded coconut
2 squares (1 ounce each) of unsweetened chocolate

In the top of a double boiler melt the margarine. Remove it from the heat. Add the sugar and coconut and mix well. Shape rounded teaspoonfuls of the coconut mixture into balls. Make a depression in the center of each ball and place it on a platter or cookie sheet. Set them aside. Melt chocolate in the top of a clean double boiler. Fill the centers of the coconut balls with melted chocolate and chill until firm.

Tip: You can also add color to the holidays by adding half of a candied cherry instead of the chocolate in the middle. Use half red cherries and half green for a really festive look

Rocky Road Fudge

Who doesn’t love rocky road fudge? There is something about the mix of smooth chocolate, peanuts and sweet soft marshmallows that brings a smile to most faces.

2 tablespoons of margarine
1 – 12 ounce package of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 – 14 ounce can of Eagle Brand condensed milk
2 cups of dry roasted peanuts
1 – 10 1/2 ounce package of miniature marshmallows

In a saucepan, melt the chocolate morsels with the Eagle Brand milk and 2 tablespoons of margarine. Remove the mixture from the heat and add the peanuts and marshmallows. Stir it together thoroughly and spread it on to a waxed paper-lined 13×9 inch pan. Chill for 2 hours or until nice and firm before cutting the fudge into pieces.

These are some of my all time favorite Christmas candy recipes. I share them with you in the hope that your family and friends have as much fun over pieces of these sweet treats as mine do.

After all, that is what the season is about – celebrating with those we love.
