Oh the glory days. It is a statement that I hear often followed up by “If I could only have my youth back”

While the inevitable of aging is with us all, it doesn’t have to be a process of dread, doom and gloom. Aging is a beautiful thing that shouts out to the world “Hey I made it through my younger years!” It’s really sort of funny listening to the 6 in one hand and half dozen in the other types of tongue lashing we give ourselves.

It’s all a matter of how you take life as it comes at you. Yes my dears; I know the road can be rocky and we have all had our fair share of tragedy and maybe a bit of debauchery along the way but look at it this way… If you are reading this and getting a kick out of it already you probably know where I am going with it.

Even the title of this article quite possible switched your mood just from seeing the words “beautiful and youthful” in the same line.

So let’s just squeeze this wonderful gift of life for all it’s worth the way we did when we were closer to that person we use to be and get it back!

Here is a list of 5 beautiful ways to get back a youthful mindset.

1. Show Gratitude

When you get up in the morning give thanks for it. You now have another day to make the same effort of doing something spectacular with it. Heck; today may just be the day you change your entire life around and get that energy back that you use to have. I’m talking pure energy from within. Did you know that your mind can actually serve as a platform for increased energy? Just one change in your daily routine can set the stage for a paradigm shift.

2. Get Your Brain What It Needs To Be At It’s Best

Your brain is made up mostly of water. Give it what it needs. Get yourself a large glass of beautiful clean water and drink it all. Not just a thimble, a big class of the good stuff. Did you know your brain weight is made up of approximately 75% water? What do you think happens to it when it gets dehydrated? Yep, headaches, nausea and a whole mess of other stuff that is not so beautiful. So, keep it happy and you will see a big change in your mindset. Things will just start looking more beautiful to you including your outer appearance.

3. Practice Inner Peace and Let Go of The Grudges

Through the years you may have collected a few thoughts of no real value that have attached themselves to you. These thoughts are those that demand you to be something you are not. What a struggle the mind has when it has been convinced that you have to put up the act on a daily basis. Give yourself permission to be at peace. Let those that you have in your mental jail, be set free. If you are busy being the gate keeper or the guard over those that have hurt you in the past, you are still allowing that pain to live inside of you. Learn to forgive and let it go.

4. Take Time to Listen to Yourself and The Truth of Your Heart

Peel back the layers of the calloused heart and mind. Get back to the real you. You know you better than anyone. Get back that fire that you had when you were younger. That burning flame that kept you up at night wondering about the great things you would do in the following days. Can you remember how that felt? Simply amazing is how it feels when you remember the honesty of youth.

5. Give What GOD Gives You Every Single Day.

God gives all of us forgiveness every single day of our lives. All he asks if that we forgive others as well. When you learn to forgive your life will be a sweet as it gets. Forgiveness can be difficult at times but it is truly the key to ultimate happiness, peace and a youthful mindset. If you are happy and have a peace about you it will show in many ways. It will show in the way you think, the way you treat others and the way others will treat you. I realize that I pointed out forgiveness twice but it is that important when you are seeking to regain your youthful mindset.
