Are you bullied at school? Is it making life difficult?

Just know that it is not your fault that you are being bullied, and you should never change who you are for a bully. The Bully is most probably jealous of you in some way. This could be because of your good school work, your background, or for many other reasons.

The bully is the one who has a problem that needs to be fixed, not you. Always respect yourself, keep your head up, and stay positive.

Keep reading and learn how to deal with your bully.

A Bully is someone who calls you names, teases you, threatens you, hits, kicks, or even punches you. A Bully is someone who makes you feel bad and not important. A Bully may also exclude you from a group or friends. A Bully may even send bad messages to your mobile phone or e-mail. Bullies may appear bad- tempered, have a violent nature, and be quite loud. Bullies may also steal, be absent from school, carry some sort of weapon, and vandalise property. Bullies can be all shapes and sizes.

If you are being bullied you need to tell someone about it. This may be a teacher, your parents, your friends, or another trusted adult. Never keep it to yourself; it is best to always get help. This can help fix your problem that you are having with the bully. Record everything that you can remember happening to you. When you share this with someone, they may have solution. If you find it hard to do this, take a close friend with you when you tell someone. Talking to someone about the problem does not mean that you are weak; actually, it means that you are strong and you want to fix the problem.

If you cannot find someone to listen, please keep trying until you do. So if you have a bully, and you try to avoid them, hide from them, and are scared of them, then please ask for help.

Having a Positive and Strong Mind.

Being bullied is not your fault. The bully is most likely jealous of you. Maybe you do better in school than they do; maybe you come from a different or ethnic background and culture. You may be more popular than they are in some areas, or you may be better looking than them. Always remind yourself how important you are.

You are above the bully, because bullying is childish and you do not need to pick on people to feel good. You can help avoid being bullied if you have a positive attitude, and always stand straight and tall, and walk with confidence. Speak with confidence from your stomach. Do not look down when you talk to someone especially a bully. You are important and one of a kind, so let people know that.

Confidence

If you are being bullied, you can throw the bully off track by appearing confident. Most bullies only prey on someone that they think is weak or different to them in their eyes. The more confident that you appear and project, then the more likely the bully will become bored and move on.

When in class speak up and be heard. Hang out with other confident people, and make a net work of friends. Look the bully in the eye and say ‘leave me alone! I don’t get bullied’ Most bullies will respect your courage. If playing sports always do your best, and do not be discouraged by bullies.

Ignoring the Bully

Bullies are after reactions from any one that they try to bully. The more reactions that they can get, the more they enjoy it. It is very important to show the bully, that their behaviour does not affect you. The more friends, groups or clubs that you are involved with, the more the bully will lose interest. Groups will also scare the bullies away, as they would rather bully you alone. Don’t go near the bully.
