The Best Way I know To Lose Stubborn Belly Fat

One of the most frequently asked questions in fitness sounds a lot like: “I was wondering if you could give me some pointers on targeting belly fat. I had a child and since that I can’t seem to loose that “pouch” off of the lower abs! I have tried many different ab exercises and cardio and I go to the gym 4-5 days a week.” Here’s a 3-step simple system for losing the belly fat and getting 6 pack abs in no time.

The Best Way I Know To Lose Stubborn Belly Fat
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Marc_David]Marc David

Everyone wants to know how to lose fat around their abs, well, here’s how I do it…

The #1 question that is asked on all fitness sites, bodybuilding forums, magazines and late night TV infomercials sounds a lot like these:

How to I lose the stubborn belly fat? How do I lose abdominal fat? How to do I get great abs? How do I lose the stomach pouch off the lower abs?

These are all too common question and they are so popular that it’s the reason the weight reduction arena is a multi- billion dollar (yes billion) industry.

You are about to read the real secret to great abs and how to lose the abdominal fat without spending money on supplements or following some diet-of-the-month and it’s going to be a very simple formula that you can follow. Remember…

Your abdominal muscle is like the rest of the muscles in your body. They require training if you want them to be larger and stronger. A common mis-conception is that you must train your abs several times a week. This will only lead to overtraining. Your abs are a muscle. Train it like everything else. No need to focus and go overboard. Two to three times a week of focused ab work or core strength is generally the rule for 6 pack abs.

An Easy 3-Step System For Ripped Abdominals:

Step 1

Training: 1% of your overall ab development will actually come from training. Consider the fact that most people think 90% of your results come from training, you can see this isn’t the popular consensus. Needless to say, that’s where most focus their efforts. They don’t get their nutrition in order, they don’t use cardio effectively so the masses just do more ab training and more crunches. Ultimately for your abs to show you must have abs to show and a low percentage of body fat for them to appear. More training does nothing to eliminate the layer of fat that is covering them. This is commonly know as spot reduction. Training an area for the sole purpose of eliminating fat in that area.

Tip – Do not make training the #1 priority to show off those abs. Train them like any other muscle. More ab work will not make your abs appear. Focus on lowering your body fat levels and not spot reduction.

Step 2:

Cardio: 9% of your effort can be directed as using cardio as a fat burning tool. High intensity interval training is by far the fastest and most efficient method you can use to shed the pounds. You’ll want to keep in mind, using cardio is a tool. Not a foundation. This simply means that doing marathon sessions will not be to your advantage. Learn to use cardio effectively and you can enhance and boost your metabolism beyond what even eating the right foods can do. Some competitive bodybuilders use cardio up to twice a day for 30 days to just chisel off that last remaining layer of fat that’s cover up the abdominal region.

Tip – Cardio can be done twice a day for a full body shock! Just keep in mind this method is a short term tool and not a routine you would use for any length of time.

Step 3:

Nutrition: 90% of your efforts will be based upon your diet. In order to show off the abs, you must get rid of the layer of fat that is covering them up. It is that simple. Many people will train their abs and do all kinds of cardio and they still forget that nutrition plays such a massive roll in getting rid of belly fat. You must know how many calories a day you need to eat and what to eat in order to get your nutrition on track and working for you. Going to the gym more often, doing more cardio and more hanging crunches will do you no good if you fail 90% of the test.

Tip – Use nutritional fundamentals to turn your body into a fat burning furnace.

Wait just a second…

Before you rush off to check your nutrition, cardio and training, take this next concept into consideration.

Loose Skin: Skin is very elastic and over time (age) or with a large amount of weight reduction it may not just spring back like it did. In this case, surgery may be the only option once you have reached a very low level of overall body fat.

-Many women may experience this because of pregnancy. -Many men and women may experience this because of a large amount of weight reduction.

For example, if a man was under 10% body fat and had loose skin, this is a prime example where skin may need to be taken away because of other circumstances. While this is pretty rare it does happen and if the skin cannot bounce back, there’s little options a person has except to have it removed. What this means is…

If you have a low enough (12-15% or less body fat for a woman in this example) and you still have a lot of loose skin from slimming down or pregnancy, you may want to explore the option of having that excess skin removed.

With that said…

The secret to ripped abs is nothing more then 3-steps in this order of importance:

-Nutrition

-Cardio

-Training

You see, all of the programs you’ll find will adhere to these 3 concepts. Once you have the abs, you need to show them. In order to show them, you will need to get rid of the layer of fat that is covering them up. It’s easy to lose the belly fat when you know how.

Kitchen organization can be a little easier when there are kitchen accessories around. With an organizational accessory, any cabinet can be utilized with ease. But the corner cabinet is not the only place that a Lazy Susan can be used.

As part of the kitchen storage system, small lazy Susans can be a help as a spice rack. Most lazy Susans spin, allowing access to the least common spices, but there is a tip to this little trick: They can get just as cluttered as any area of the kitchen. To keep clutter down, clear the spice rack once a month of old spices. Spices loose their strength after 6 months to about a year. So a recipe that calls for 1 teaspoon on thyme, may need 2 teaspoons of the stuff after 6 months, and may actually be harmful if not used or thrown out within that time period. Exercise on the side of caution and buy what is needed. Small lazy Susans can also be a place where baking items, such as sprinkles, cupcake holders, and tubes of icing are stored. This turns the area into a baking center. Keep cake pans, muffin tins, and molds nearby for easy access to the oven.

Tip: for the corner cabinet, store baking food items on the top tier of the lazy Susan, and the pans on the bottom, if they can fit. If you have a large enough cabinet you may also sneak some rarely used items into the corners of the cabinet but take caution because a hard spin will tip items over the edge and catch on items stored on the sides.

Can kitchen storage. In the corner cabinet, lazy Susans can help organize can goods. This is extremely helpful if there is no kitchen pantry available. Half-round styles fit into many cabinets too so they are not limited to the corners.

Craft storage. Even though lazy Susans are used for mostly kitchen storage, this kitchen accessory can be used in a craft room to hold an assortment of craft items. Again, this storage idea is for easy access to supplies, as well as for storage.

Entertainment center: another name for a lazy Susan is a turntable, and they are often used to rotate the television set. Many families are using the television as a way to entertain while cooking and during dinnertime. Computer monitors, and laptops also use this same system. Just be careful not to have any electronic equipment near the sink or the cooking area, because that can ruin the system. The best place for these entertainment centers are in kitchens that next to a family or great room in an open area.

Finally, use lazy Susans with a shelving unit in either a kitchen pantry or one that is out in the open. Again, this is for easy access of the items, and allows flexibility in the kitchen pantry. Most kitchen pantries are large enough to hold both the shelving unit and allows the spinner accessory to sit on the top shelf.

To recap, lazy Susans do allows storage in the corner cabinet. One (not too) quick turn allows the owner to see what it is the cabinet without taking everything out of the cabinet. There are many uses for this kitchen accessory, it is hard to pick just one use.

Are Mold Foreclosed Homes a Bargin?

There are many foreclosed homes, (half are mold foreclosures), on the market. Should you buy a foreclosed home? Is it smart to buy a mold foreclosure as a short sale? If the home has been on the market with utilities turned off, there can be problems. Read on to find out what problems can ruin your bargain home.

Are Mold Foreclosed Homes a Bargain?
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Judy_Kojadinovich]Judy Kojadinovich

There are many foreclosed homes on the market; half are mold foreclosures.Banks are holding on to properties that have had the utilities turned off. How long the utilities are off is an important consideration; you have a 50% chance of buying a mold foreclosure. Usually no one is going to tell you that you are looking at a mold foreclosure; however, in a lot of cases it is obvious. For instance, a foreclosed home in humid Florida will not take long to fill up with mold. Mold can grow 24 go 48 hours in high humidity. Mold requires warm, dark and damp places to grow. What is occurring in mold foreclosures is called the “stack effect”. Natural ventilation sucks moisture up through the attic; driven by air conditioning and heat in the seasons. There is also the factor of people moving through the house promoting circulation through movement. Without air conditioning, heat and movement, houses quickly become moldy. Germs, viruses, bacteria and fungi love high humidity. To stop mold, the utilities must be left on preferably with a dehumidifier for basement running.

Should you buy a foreclosed home? Here is a real story to consider: A woman in Florida bought a short sale home; saved $90,000. However, she cannot enter her house without wearing a mask. She did the right thing: she had a home inspection. The inspection came back clean: no mold. She did not have a mold inspection. However, the mold was not obvious. It was in the walls and behind the baseboards. She stayed a bit and discovered that the house had a major problem: she needed someone to come and kill the mold. To kill mold can cost a lot of money. A minor mold abatement can run around $5,000.00. This woman realizes that she is looking at major mold renovation. She now lives in a motel while she finds a mold restoration company to hire. lesson learned: if you live in a humid area, have a mold inspection.

Put a contingency in your contract that the sale is void if mold is discovered. If you go into the house and you start not feeling well, there probably is mold. Look for signs of water intrusion. Most cases of mold start in the basement. Start there. Water stains are another sign. The attic is also a place to look. If leaves gathered in the gutter and ice dams formed, water can easily work its way into the attic. You should water stains and possibly see mold. Mold comes in many colors: brown, yellow green or black.

If pipes broke and that were not attended to in a reasonable amount of time, mold grows.Ask if there are any repairs that need to be done. Here is a list of where you can find mold:

Bathrooms, basement crawl spaces, shower stalls, ceilings, bathroom walls and ceilings, attics due to improperly built roofs, leaky plumbing, insulation, air ducts, laundry room, air conditioning ducts, peeling drywall, carpeting in a finished basement, closed rooms or doors in a basement, beneath wall paper, paneling, and finished basements.

If not sure there is mold, hire a mold remediation company to test and check around; mold tests are around $300.00. Mold testing should be done by a lab. Mold can be spotted in walls with a thermal imaging camera. Companies also take samples. Do your research: a bargain can be a nightmare or the mold foreclosure can be a bargaining chip if you are willing to take the chance. Get estimates as to what it will cost for repairs and to make sure to kill mold. If you are willing to buy an obvious mold foreclosure, hire a lawyer who specializes in the buying of mold foreclosures to protect yourself. Don’t be surprised at attempts to hid mold. Some folks will actually paint over the mold to hide it. Houses sitting on the market for years are prime places for mold. Happy home hunting.

Gardening Lessons From My Childhood

Gardening Lessons From My Childhood
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=John_Rowe]John Rowe

As a child from a family of six children, I learned the importance of working in the garden and the responsibility of taking care of my section in the garden. One of the most important lessons I took away from that learning experience was that if you just put your mind to the chores that are given to you, you will be finished with them before you know it. It gives you a real sense of accomplishment to know you have done your part and helped out the other members of your family.

One day while working in the garden right along with my Dad, I ran into a problem and being a typical kid I immediately said that I could not overcome that problem. It was a very hot day and the sun was directly overhead and shade was a precious commodity. My Dad told me that I could handle the problem if I just gave it some thought. I tried giving the problem some thought but I had already convinced myself that I could not handle it so I didn’t spend a lot of time trying to figure out how I might handle the problem. A short time later my Dad happened to look over and saw that I hadn’t taken care of the problem. He asked me why and again I stated that I could not figure out how to handle it.

It was time to sit down in the shade and have a refreshing cool drink so we went over to the edge of the garden and found a cool spot to sit down and enjoy some lemonade my sister had brought out to us. As we sat there my Dad asked me what I had thought about as far as being able to take care of the problem I was having and I told him I didn’t even know how to go about getting started thinking about the solution to the problem. At this point he said he would like to tell me a little story about my great-grandfather. I was thrilled to hear about him as I had always admired him. Dad proceeded to tell me about great granddad’s experience with gardening that had started back when he was a child and lasted right up until he was in his late 80’s. By the time he was 80 years old he had become semi-invalid but was still determined to work his garden. He absolutely loved the fresh food he got from the labor he put into his garden.

As we all know, weeds are a very pesky problem that any gardener faces. Controlling the weeds is a very important part of having a healthy garden. My great granddad knew this but was faced with the paramount problem of being unable to move about freely in his garden to handle the weed problems. Knowing that weeds just don’t go away because you wish them to, he had to figure out how he could attack the problem and be efficient at getting the weeds under control. As he gave the problem some thought, he figured out that if he took an old wooden kitchen chair out into the garden he could sit in the chair and take his garden hoe to control the weed problem. He then decided that if he lashed two hoe handles together, he could reach out further and not have to move as often. It was just a matter of problem solving and after hearing the story my Dad told me I gave my problem some more thought and was able to come up with a solution.

The old moral stating that where there is a will there is a way is so true. The very next time you run into a problem that you believe there is no way to solve it, try to remember the story here and use it to your advantage. Any problem can be solved if it is given enough thought.
