But, most of the month should be smooth sailing, and there could even be extra blessings. In fact, I am forecasting that Valentine’s Day 2013 will be the best Valentines day we’ve had this century with lots of steamy romance and sex! Astrology Forecast for February 2013 – General Tendencies for All Sun Signs By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Janet_Moon]Janet Moon

If you think January was nice, just wait for February. We may have one difficult weekend, and the Full Moon could bring a challenge. But, most of the month should be smooth sailing, and there could even be extra blessings. In fact, I am forecasting that Valentine’s Day 2013 will be the best Valentines day we’ve had this century with lots of steamy romance and sex! Mars is going to be busy energizing some of the outer planets this month, and by Presidents’ Day, we may find a project or situation has been transformed.

Venus will enter Aquarius, and Mars will enter Pisces on the first day of February. We will probably be ready for a change. The Moon will be in passionate Scorpio on Groundhog Day, Saturday, February 2nd, and the groundhog may be very vehement expressing his fear of his shadow this year. (*wink*) Mars and Neptune will be partners in crime during the weekend of February 1st, and some will not be practical. Think twice, before you spend or commit yourself to a project. And, postpone any major purchases until Wednesday.

Mars and Neptune will be at the peak of their partnership, and the Moon will enter fiery and busy Sagittarius as we begin the week of February 4th. We may find ourselves wanting to act, but we may end up regretting our decisions on Monday, and possibly even Tuesday, February 4th and 5th. Life will should be getting better in quantum leaps on Wednesday and Thursday, February 6th and 7th, with Venus, Jupiter, and Uranus at harmonic frequencies. Some unexpected opportunities may arise, including the possibility of a financial gain. Mercury will also be crossing Neptune in furious pursuit of Mars. Our thoughts could easily get confused, but if we can trust our emotions and our inner voice, we may find peace and spiritual rewards.

Life could get complicated for the weekend of February 8th, and we will probably begin to notice the tension on Friday. Our judgment will be off, and we will be quick to over-react. We may not feel like celebrating the Chinese New Year (snake) and the Aquarius New Moon on Sunday, February 10th. In fact, we may really want to get away from everything. Things will be especially tough for those with Aries and Sagittarius dominate in their charts. It could also bring financial or health difficulties to those with Taurus, Libra, and Capricorn (and all the rest of us in one way or another). We may even find ourselves saying hurtful things to loved ones all the way through Monday, February 11th.

We may be feeling “blue” on Monday, February 11th, but as the day progresses our frustration should dissipate. In fact, we will probably get work done at a very rapid pace, and any problems will be met with wisdom and rationality through Fat Tuesday, February 12th. Mars and Pluto will be increasing our confidence and possibly our drive through the end of the week. Mars and Pluto are also the rulers of males and sex, so Ladies, get ready for a hot and attentive Valentine’s Day. If he stands you up this year, its probably time to look for a new man. (Better double check his chart first, just in case he’s going through something awful, like a Saturn return.)

Mars will be teaming up with Pluto and Saturn as the weekend of February 15th begins. These slow, outer planets will definitely continue their influence throughout the weekend. This will be a great weekend for getting together with friends and family for work and play. People will be willing to help, and almost anything we try will work out fine. Those with dominate Capricorn in their charts may not accomplish as much as they hoped this weekend with Saturn getting ready to turn retrograde. But, if they ask their friends for help, things will go more smoothly.

The Sun will enter Pisces, and Saturn will be at Retrograde Station as the week begins on Presidents’ Day, February 18th. We may find ourselves running in circles and accomplishing little through Tuesday, February 19th. But, if we take time for meditation and contemplation, we will find balance and inner peace. Our spiritual connections and our creative energies will increase as we approach midweek. We may get a little carried away with a few of our projects, but we should be ready for a break by the weekend.

Mercury will be turning retrograde on Saturday, February, 23rd, and we will probably be dealing with typical Mercury retrograde problems, like computer problems, travel delays, and misunderstandings as the weekend begins. The Moon will be in Leo throughout most of the weekend, and we may decide to do like any good Leo when confronted with challenges, take a nap. Its okay to be a couch potato every now and then, and a Mercury retrograde is as good an excuse as any. Maybe even rent a few movies and invite a few friends, and make it a couch potato party.

We could be dealing with personal problems as the week begins under the Virgo full moon, on Monday, February 25th. Some of us may reach to our addictions for comfort, and others may be overly critical. Communications will improve and new ideas will be floating up by Tuesday, February 26th. Our creative energies could increase, and romance will be likely as we approach the end of February.

We may be ready for some changes as we enter March. It will begin with a continuation of romance and accomplishments from February, but the cosmic weather will be changing as we approach Palm Sunday and Easter. Check back next month to find out more.

Give Back Feel Great

Nothing feels better than being able to do something nice for someone. Simple acts of kindness make a bad day a little better. These things can be as small as lending a dollar to someone in the store who is short on the total, buying a co-worker a cup of coffee, or holding the door open for someone with their hands full. Small and simple gestures can make someone’s day.

Give Back Feel Great By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Rachel_Bryan]Rachel Bryan

Not that long ago, I was out of work and in the grocery store. I went to the register with a quart of milk but found I was a dollar short. The cashier pulled a dollar out of her pocket and put it toward the milk. I was stunned and grateful. She didn’t have to do that. She didn’t even know me. Yet, she offered it anyway and smiled. Since that day, I’ve paid it forward to others who were short of money at the cashier stand, let others in a traffic bind merge in to my lane and out of the way of an accident, and donated time and material goods to non-profits I support. Little acts of kindness go a long way. Nothing goes unnoticed.

There are hundreds of ways one can give back a little at a time and make a world of difference. It doesn’t have to be helping out with money-related things. It can be as plain as offering to take the trash out for a neighbor. The little things can help heal an aching heart, brighten a day that was nothing but drudgery, and make a happy person grateful. Below are some options to try:

Compliment an employee’s service to a manager when they do something good. Hold the door open for the person behind you – man or woman. Offer to take a neighbor’s dog for the morning walk when you are up. Surprise the office and make the coffee when you get in. Thank an employee for being loyal and dedicated. Sometimes it works better than a regular evaluation. (No one likes them anyway.) Thank the boss for hiring you. You have a job now. Pick up trash at the beach, park or neighborhood as an act of kindness to the environment. Share an umbrella in the rain with someone who left theirs in the car. Offer to drive a co-worker to lunch and then treat them graciously and without much ado. Speak up for someone who isn’t there to defend themselves at meetings. It takes one person to change a mind or many minds. Save someone the annoyance of getting a parking ticket and put some coins in the meter for them. Encourage employees to give back. Give them a paid volunteer day off. Or two! Tell your children, no matter how young or old, you are proud of them and love them. Give your pet a treat for no other reason than being your pet.

Feel great. It takes nothing more than the realization that something you did made someone else feel good. Acknowledge that this felt great and keep doing it some more. Some acts of kindness go un-thanked. These are the toughest ones to do because you will never know if the receiver appreciated the kindness. Accept that the thanks may not come and go on performing random acts of kindness and goodness.

There will be days when even thinking about doing something nice will feel false and contrived. Few people in the world can be good every day of the week. Pick a day and make it your Act of Kindness Day. Be humble about it. There’s no need to trumpet your goodness all over the place. The smile on your face will broadcast it for you.

Learn how [http://usmstudios.com//]this company performs many acts of kindness throughout the year to include Paid Volunteer Days Off.

Is Direct Mail An Old School And Out Of Date Marketing Method

Is Direct Mail An Old School And Out Of Date Marketing Method? By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Diane_Conklin]Diane Conklin

Without a doubt, advancements to technology have certainly opened the doors to new methods of marketing. With so many options in the way of digital marketing some of us may find ourselves asking if direct mail is an old, outdated marketing method.

The answer is no. Absolutely not!

Using good direct response marketing techniques and strategies is a tried and true way to market your business. Direct mail, if done properly, will never be out of date. After all, look how long it’s been working as an effective marketing strategy already.

Of course, you’ll run into those who say things like “but everyone’s on the internet” or “sending email is quicker and less expensive.”

Believe it or not, everyone is not on the internet.

But everyone with an address has a mailbox. A physical mailbox they walk up to on a regular basis and get things out of. Everyone has one of those!

And sure, sending an email takes about five minutes. But does it get delivered? Does it get opened? You just don’t know. It could be bouncing around in cyber space. It could be immediately deleted by the recipient. They could open it, not read it, and think they’ll come back to it later, then forget about it and never come back and read it. Everyone’s done that with email. It’s easy to do because it’s not a physical piece of mail sitting around requiring attention. And, as long as your mail piece isn’t coming back to you, you can be pretty sure that it got through.

What happens when people go to their mailboxes? Most of the time they bring the mail into the house and they sort it into piles. Pile ‘A’ is stuff they go through immediately. There’s usually a ‘B’ pile for the bills. And then there’s pile ‘C’ and pile ‘C’ is full of the advertisements, postcards and all the other marketing material that they’re pretty sure they don’t want. That pile gets set down on the counter or in a basket, but basically the person has to eventually come back to the pile. They come back to the pile to make sure nothing important got added to it and to be sure it’s garbage. What ends up happening if they didn’t open your mail the first time is your mail piece gets a second chance. They’ll pick it up one more time. This time giving it a good look over and maybe they decide at that point they should keep it.

Are you still convinced that direct mail is old school? If you’re not convinced, then you might want to look at some of the Fortune 500 companies like American Express, Hewlett Packard and so many more. Every one of them uses direct mail as part of their marketing plan and strategy.

Shouldn’t you be using direct mail too?

Sexting – A Great Way to Embarrass Yourself & Ruin Employment Opportunities

There are so many opportunities to be captured digitally. When you’re daughter is on a date, her boyfriend asks her for a sexy picture, she’s out with friends, at a party, trying on clothes with her friends…photos can be taken. Here are some thought provoking reasons to respect your teen or college age loved one to respect her privacy. Give this article to your daughter, niece, grand daughter, god daughter or friend!

Sexting – A Great Way to Embarrass Yourself & Ruin Employment Opportunities By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Iris_Fanning]Iris Fanning

What about Sexting?

Cell phone cameras and videos are everywhere. What used to be private can now easily be made public not only to your friends, your school, your city, your state but also World Wide. There is no such thing as a private photograph that is taken digitally.

Never allow yourself to be photographed in various states of undress or compromising positions. This includes bra and panties, bikini, spillage from cleavage, half dressed, legs spread, making out, your or his hands all over each other etc.

Sexting also includes graphic sexual words and text messages. These sexting messages can also fall into the wrong hands and ruin your reputation. Don’t share these intimate or “dirty” conversations via electronics.

Why not engage in sexting? Once an image is taken digitally it is a short step away from World Wide exposure. Once it’s on the internet, the damage is done.

80% or more of all employers look at your MySpace, Facebook, or Twitter. Employers search for any digital images or text of you “partying all night or sleeping around” prior to hiring. They follow the trail of your web friends too who may also write or show photos of you in compromising situations. Employers will eliminate you from being hired for a good job based on what they see or read.

You become attractive to stalkers, perverts, sex offenders and the mentally unstable.

You damage your own good reputation and name.

You can make your school years or work place miserable and yourself a target if those photos are sent.

You can make yourself un-hirable in your chosen field even after a great education.

Remember that almost no place is private any more. If you’re with friends and they have a cell phone, you can be the subject of a damaging photograph or video.

Just How Great Could Things Be

“In everything thing you do, think of how it will affect the children.” There it is, plain and simple. No 2000 pages on how to treat the children, no law or mandates made by lofty governments, no commandment written in stone, just a simple sentence that can change the world.

Just How Great Could Things Be By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Michael_Irvin]Michael Irvin

Several years ago I came across an idea that someone was promoting in the media. I can’t remember where, when or what was the circumstances concerning the idea I just remember the idea itself. It was profound. Since then it has come in and out of my consciousness a lot. So I’ll share it with you. It has a lot to do with not just how we conduct our personal lives put how we do business in this world.

“In everything thing you do, think of how it will affect the children.”There it is, plain and simple. No 2000 pages on how to treat the children, no law or mandates made by lofty governments, no commandment written in stone, just a simple sentence that can change the world.

I taught my boys to take everything to its logical conclusion before making a decision or taking an action. In other words think things through, or “look before you leap.” So I will encourage you to do the same with this simple premise. Think it through. I have done a lot of thinking about this over the last few years since I heard this so here are some of my thoughts:

How will my action(s) affect the children? Let’s say you’re going to design and market a product. You have a great idea and you know it will make you millions, especially if you cut some corners and go for cheap. Just how will it affect the children? Will your desire for money cloud your thinking? Will you put in jeopardy little innocent lives for your own self-interest? Or will you do everything in your power to make sure your product is safe even for the tiniest baby? Will you design safe cars, homes, infant seats, baby beds, etc.? Or will you depend on the government policing to catch you and make you recall your defective product AFTER its harmed and maimed?

How does my advertising affect the children? Does your advertising depend on sex, violence and/or stupidity to sell your product? Then you might rethink your product. Are you teaching children bad ideas with your advertising? Are you using your advertising to manipulate little minds into buying your product? If it’s a product targeted to adults, do you make sure your message is acceptable for a general audience? In other words are you affecting children in a positive way, showing them how to consume responsibly?

How does my example as a businessperson affect the children? As a businessperson are you the pillar of your community. Is the word “honest” used to describe you? Are you professional and businesslike in your behavior? Do you practice that behavior around the clock? Do you avoid being a hypocrite, liar, cheat? Do you avoid talking out of both sides of your mouth just to make a sale?

If you will really think about these three points you will see that what is good for the children is actually very good for business. If you can visualize the children watching every decision and move you make you will begin to realize how important it is for business people to set the proper example for our children. After all they will be the business owners of tomorrow. What you do today will shape the future. Think about it.
