Astrology Forecast for March 2013 – General Tendencies for All Sun Signs

Astrologically, March will be coming in like a lamb and going out like a lion. Even though Mercury is in retrograde, life could be exceptionally positive over the first ten days of March, but by the time Mercury turns direct on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th, there could be unexpected accidents (especially on the highways) and a general feeling of unease. The last week of March could be especially difficult with the outer and the inner planets lining up for a major battle. Take time to enjoy the last few weeks of Winter, because by the time Spring begins the challenges will be upon us once again.

Astrology Forecast for March 2013 – General Tendencies for All Sun Signs By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Janet_Moon]Janet Moon

March begins on a Friday with the Sun, Saturn, and Pluto singing in harmony and the Moon in passionate Scorpio. Its going to be a great weekend for progress in groups or alone. Our determination and will power will be high, our troubleshooting insight will be off the scale, and conversations with authority figures will go better than expected.

Mercury will be crossing in front of the Sun, and Venus and Jupiter will be at right angles as the Week of March 4th begins. Monday morning could be cranky, and people will be sensitive. But, things should be improving by Tuesday, March 5th, with Mercury and Venus moving from opposite directions to take the Sun’s place with Saturn and Pluto. In fact, these planets will be dancing together from Tuesday through Friday, March 8th. People will be sincere and realistic and ready to make changes. It will also be a great time for artistic projects and maybe even some romance.

Our attitudes and ideas may become distorted as the weekend of March 8th begins with Mercury and Jupiter creating disharmony. It will be a bad time for gambling and investing, and gossip could be flying. The gossip may lighten, but the confusion will increase on Sunday, March 10th, with the Moon entering Pisces and us crazy humans setting our clocks forward in honor of “Daylight Saving Time.” But, Sunday will be an excellent day for prayer, meditation, psychic readings, and communing with the divine.

The week of March 11th looks very calm with only lunar aspects all week. The New Moon will be in Pisces on Monday, March 11th. The New Moon is always the best time for writing down our goals and our wish lists, and this month spiritual and personal goals could receive extra blessings. Mars and the Moon will both enter Mars’ home sign of Aries early on Tuesday, March 12th. This will energize us and encourage us to start new projects through Thursday, March 14th. The Moon will then enter laid back, Taurus in the PM of March 14th, and this will encourage us to slow down our pace and take a thorough look at our environments. We may want to spend the next two days double-checking our work and taking stock of how far we have come. We may also be in the mood for some redecorating or adding beauty to our lives.

As we gear up for the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations on the weekend of March 15th, we will want to be prepared, with Mercury’s Direct Station occurring on St. Patrick’s Day, Sunday, March 17th. We may find ourselves dealing with the typical Mercury retrograde issues, especially on Sunday after the Moon enters Gemini, including traffic delays, computer malfunctions, internet problems, misunderstandings, and possibly even car problems. Just be prepared and be patient, and everything should go fine.

We may find it a little difficult to stay focused as the week of March 18th begins, but our focus and our security should return by Tuesday afternoon, March 19th, after the Moon enters it’s home sign of Cancer. The restlessness will return, and people could be easily excited, on the first day of Spring (and the International Astrology Day), Wednesday, March 20th. We will probably notice that our tempers are getting shorter as we approach the end of the week. Also use extra caution driving, because accidents will be more likely on Thursday and Friday, March 21st and 22nd.

That feeling of unease will probably continue to increase through the weekend of March 22nd, with Mars, Uranus, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto conflicting one another. We may really want to make some changes in our lives, and we may feel its important to react to challenges. Don’t do it! You’ll be “jumping from the frying pan into the fire.” Count to ten and ask yourself, “What difference will it make in a hundred years?” before taking any actions.

A feeling of nervous restraint and underlying fear may be hovering over us as the week of March 25th begins. There could be jealousy, anxiety, and stupid decisions ahead. We may really be feeling the need to break free of our perceived oppression over the next few days, as we approach the Libra Full Moon early on Wednesday morning, March 27th. By Wednesday evening we should be feeling some relief. Mercury will be shaking hands with Saturn, encouraging realistic and stable thoughts. Venus and Uranus will also be lining up directly behind the Sun bringing out our charisma and charm. This will be a brief “warm snap” in the stars, so make the most of it. We will probably find ourselves under another astrological storm by the time the weekend arrives.

As I said at the beginning of this report, March is going to go out like a lion. The weekend of March 29th, Easter weekend, the Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter will each triangulate off of Pluto. Many people will be jumping to conclusions and overreacting on Good Friday, March 29th. We may also have to deal with issues with authority figures, deception from loved ones, people trying to push us around, and conflicts in general throughout the weekend. Try to keep your schedule light and your expectations to a minimum.

The “clouds” will lift and the tension will lighten as soon as April 1st arrives. But… the eclipses will also return. Check back next month to find out more

The Four Pillars of Fitness: Making It Work For You

The ‘Four Pillars of Fitness’ encompasses mindset, diet/nutrition, exercise and sleep. When you combine all four areas wisely, you will create optimal fitness. Mindset is the driver to the rest.

The Four Pillars of Fitness: Making It Work for You By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Robert_Choat]Robert Choat

I recently introduced ‘The Four Pillars of Fitness’ in a blog post. I describe the each pillar as a component of fitness. While fitness will still be strong when anyone of the pillars is not in place, it takes all four to truly be completely fit. Those pillars are Mindset, Diet & Nutrition, Exercise and Sleep. Studies have shown that each area is important for full functioning of our body. You need each area and I need each area for optimal fitness.

Our mindset is the pilot in guiding the behavior and actions that lead to better eating, exercising and enough sleep. Good nutrition is important to feed and fuel the body. For example, you need cholesterol as a structural material for your cell walls and Vitamin B-12 as building material for the myelin on your nerve cells. Exercise is important to build strength, heart health, sound structure, brain health and more. Sleep is important for the brain too.

Each of us has different needs and different lifestyles due to our work, family and more. Making a The Four Pillars of Fitness work for you is important so that you can enjoy a quality and vital life your whole life. Let’s go through each point so that you can enact them into your life.

Pillar 1: Mindset.  There are a number of ways that you can use this pillar. Attitude is one and so is belief. Both are in the same grouping. What you believe about and fitness is important regarding the kind of action you will take. If you want to have the fitness mindset, then start believing that you represent it. When you do that, then you’ll take fitness-oriented action. Mindfulness training is one way to get your into focus for fitness. Hypnosis helps in changing subconscious programming and habits. There are many way that I list in my book, ‘Mind Your Own Fitness’ that can be used.

Pillar 2: Diet and Nutrition. Many people who exercise falsely believe that they can engage in whatever food they want. To be fully fit, eating the right foods is very important. Supplementation helps to support a diet deficient in certain key nutrients. The importance of proper nutrition is that they help to create new cells, provide the right energy, keeps the body and brain fully functioning. Processed sugars actually lead to inflammation as well as brain shrinkage. Dr. Lori Shemek has a wonderful book on using nutrition to burn fat fast; ‘Fire-Up Your Fat Burn’.

Pillar 3: Exercise. Muscular strength and endurance are very important throughout our life. When we are weak and frail, injuries become more prominent. Additionally, your body and brain get’s other benefits from exercise. The more intense the exercise, the more a certain gene (brain derived neurotrophic factor) is activated, which helps to create more neurons and neuroconnections. In this case, use it or lose it applies to both body and brain. Exercise makes you smarter.

Pillar 4: Sleep. Many recent studies have shown how much sleep has on our brain. Many have known this intuitively for eons. Optimal fitness cannot be had when there is a lack of sleep. It affects the mindset (Pillar 1). And this creates a “slippery slope” in fitness. Motivation wanes from wanting to workout. Cravings for simple carbs will increase. And from reading the other pillars, you know what will happen when those are not fully engaged. Get between 7-9 hours of sleep per day. If you sleep less at night, add a catnap during the day.

Each pillar I described has an effect on the others. The whole premise of the ‘The Four Pillars of Fitness’ is about systems thinking regarding fitness. Each pillar supports the others and all support the body and brain. For optimal fitness, make sure that each pillar is at its best. Get help if you need the support as well as making sure that you are consistently working towards optimal fitness.

I wish you success as you reach your goals in fitness and in life.

Living an optimal life requires a life that is healthy and fit. Knowing what you need to do in order for that to happen is important. And taking action towards getting healthy and fit is the most important key. Finding the right knowledge and experts in their fields can go a long way to accomplishing that. That’s as long as you take action on what you learn. People who are successful are always action-oriented. They will simply put into the action the right knowledge for them. That includes getting healthy and fit. Once you are there, then will you start to truly live a life that is optimal. Networking-Success-Secrets—How-to-Turbo-Charge-Your Business-Networking

Do you ever wish you could make networking pay off more quickly? You know that you’re not supposed to be too fixated on your bottom line when it comes to networking. Instead, you’re supposed to be helpful and focused on making connections. Read on for seven tips that can turbo-charge your networking results.

Networking Success Secrets – How to Turbo-Charge Your Business Networking By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Sue_Clement]Sue Clement

Do you ever wish you could make networking pay off more quickly? You know that you’re not supposed to be too fixated on your bottom line when it comes to networking. Instead, you’re supposed to be helpful and focused on making connections.

Here’s a secret – you can be helpful AND still improve your bottom line at the same time. It’s a matter of giving back, and building goodwill – with the right people.

Here are seven tips that can turbo-charge your networking results…

1) Network in the right place

The key to productive networking is to be in the right place at the right time. When you spend time and money on going to networking meetings, make sure these meetings are filled with people that are good connections for you.

How would you know? Ask yourself a few questions…

* Who comes to the meetings * Are there enough people you connect with? * Do they share or service your target market? * Can you comfortably pass referrals to other members? * Do you have anything in common with the members? * Do you enjoy the meetings and the people there?

For example, if you’re a financial adviser, you want to network in places where people have the kind of money that would allow them to invest in your services – or know many people who do. If you’re offering subcontracting services such as installing drywall, you’ll want to go to events that have a lot of builders and contractors who could hire or refer you.

2) Think quality over quantity

Whether it comes to selecting networking events or potential connections, always think quality over quantity. It’s not about how many networking events you attend each week, but about whether the ones you do attend have members who either are or know people who would be good connections for you.

The same is true about building relationships with people. You only have so much time, so be sure to connect with people who are or know people you can do business with.

3) Build relationships with super connectors

Taking this one step further, you’ll really be able to accelerate your networking results if you connect with super connectors. But don’t just toss your business card at them and ask them to send you referrals. Instead, treat them with respect and appreciation – show interest in what they are doing and develop real relationships with them.

4) Become a resource

Why not become a super connector yourself? You can do that by becoming a resource, which you do by getting to know a lot of people and then connecting them with each other. That way, you’ll find that your potential prospects will seek you out, and you’ll have more opportunities to be of service, which will pay off in an ever-growing range of connections.

And you don’t have to wait until someone asks for an introduction. Be proactive. Start by making a list of the people you know. Consider both your inner and outer networking circles. Then think of whom you need to connect and introduce to each other. Consider who their target prospects are and look for aligning opportunities. For example introduce a realtor to a mortgage broker, or your accountant to a biz coach.

Just by spending 30 minutes each week, you’ll be surprised at the number of introductions and referrals you can generate for your network.

5) Give testimonials and get more referrals

Another highly effective way to turbo-charge your connections and referrals is to give endorsements and testimonials to others. You’ll be amazed how quickly others will begin to endorse you right back. After all, what goes around comes around!

Go to your LinkedIn account today and find one of your contacts you can endorse – a few minutes are all it takes!

6) Follow up more than once

A lot of networkers find it hard enough to make even one follow-up connection. While making that call or sending an email is crucial, it’s even more important to follow up repeatedly. Make a second and third call, follow up after one-on-one meetings, and focus on building real relationships with your key prospects and prospective referral partners.

Too much work? Remember, this is about quality over quantity. Select a few key people and focus on developing deeper relationships with them, instead of making dozens of first phone calls each week.

Not sure what to say? Ask them what projects they’re working on, who would be a great referral for them, or any resources or people they may want to connect with. Don’t forget about the personal connections – family, hobbies, vacations etc. This isn’t a sales call – it’s a relationship builder.

7) Have an attention-getting introduction or “Audio Logo”

One of the most powerful tools for connecting with just the right people is an attention-grabbing networking introduction or “Audio Logo”. Make sure you have one you can use for either a typical networking event 60-second introduction or a conversational one for social situations.

A powerful audio logo will position you apart from your competition, keeps you top of mind and makes you easy to refer – you’ll attract clients and referrals! The more of the above tips you put into practice, the more productive your networking becomes, and the faster you’ll get results. So get started today!

Dress For Success Tips – The Top 4 Secrets From Dress For Success

While dressing for success initially meant having warm and protection against a hostile weather, now it means being accepted as quickly as possible. Are you looking for these dress for success tips because you feel you could make your social interactions easier? Probably you will.

Dress For Success Tips – The Top 4 Secrets From Dress For Success Experts By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Mark_Tern]Mark Tern

While dressing for success initially meant having warm and protection against a hostile weather, now it means being accepted as quickly as possible. Are you looking for these dress for success tips because you feel you could make your social interactions easier? Probably you will.

Why dress for success?

Dressing has always been one of the higher priorities in the history of man. Since the Stone Age, dressing was an essential part of survival, as well as eating. The social evolution of man has now changed our priorities: if you’re satisfied with food and body protection, you’re now looking for social acceptance; dressing is one of the most important factors in defining the first reaction other people are going to have with you.

Also nothing nowadays is the result of a single person effort; our social life is now part of our survival as eating and sleeping. And how we look at a fist glance will set the tone for our interaction with other people we meet for the first time.

So should not come out as a surprise that a nice share of the success is the direct result of the way you dress and behave; this is why this topic has been studied thoroughly since very long topic. I’ve resumed here the top 4 tips from the experts.

Dress for success tip #1: Dress with quiet elegance

In order to dress for success in your day-to-day life you will need to develop a sense of quiet elegance. It’s not necessary using your wage to buy expensive clothes. And even if you do, you have not to be loud. Simple elegance will do the trick: exploit colours and accessories.

Dress for success tip #2: Dress with nose

Don’t be offended by this obvious principle: your body odour adds to the way you look.

Hence, investing in some good perfume (plus an effective deodorant) will go a long way to promote a positive first impression.  Maybe you had experience of being near someone with a bad smell: every time you are going to meet him, this is the first thing you’re going to remember.

Dress for success tip #3: Understand the social etiquette

It is very important when you cultivate the dress for success habit, to develop the required etiquette as well.

Every social context has its own etiquette. You should know how to address an interviewer when you enter the room, you should know how to offer a chair to a woman in a restaurant; you should know how to dance at a formal party and so on.

Etiquette is not just “good manners”, but refers to the correct social formal behaviour in a social context. In other words, you can never dress for success without having the right attitude and correct etiquette.

Dress for success tip #4: Dress according to your counterparty expectations

If you want to create a positive impression on your counterparty, the dress code will be very important. It will set his or her judgement base and will imprint their first impression about you. This is equally important with personal relationships (are you going to a date?) and social relationships as well (are you going for a job interview?).

The more formal the context, the more formal the dress. This is a simple rule. So for a job interview the safest bet would be a business suit, tie, and black shoes.

From dress for success tips to action

These dress for success tips will help you in getting started on being quickly accepted in your social goals. Of course they are just tips and you have to find your own twist. But the first success principle is that nothing happens without action.

So exploit these dress for success tips to make reaching your social goals easier. If you are dressing for success, you’ll get through your path more easily, but you have still to follow through. These tips are just the start: you have to learn taking action and going ahead. Morale Sucks – Now What? How to Add Humor to Your Workplace

A recent snowstorm in Denver puts office workers in the dumps.  A liberal dose of Humor in the Workplace can be just what your morale doctor ordered.

Morale Sucks – Now What? How to Add Humor to Your Workplace By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Brad_Montgomery]Brad Montgomery

After the seventh snowstorm in seven weeks, people in Denver, Colorado, are beginning to feel that Mother Nature must have been looking for Buffalo or Minneapolis but got lost. Folks here just aren’t used to having three feet of snow piled up on their yards, driveways and streets for almost two solid months. Even kids, who usually greet each snowflake with glee, now look at the leftover piles of mush with something akin to disgust. “Is spring ever going to come back?” one despondent ten year old was heard lamenting. (It was easy to hear her; she’s my daughter.)

The reason for Denver’s collective unhappiness is that the city traditionally enjoys over 300 days of sunshine a year. During the winter months, snow will make an appearance for one day, leave perhaps four or six inches of white, enough to make everything look beautiful, then it will gracefully depart, like the perfect houseguest who never overstays her welcome. The sun returns the next morning and immediately commences housekeeping; the snow is gone from the streets and sidewalks by noon. Not this year. And as a result, Denverites are having difficulty keeping their morale from melting away just like the icicles are supposed to be doing. Business in Denver felt the freeze keenly. Airlines to realtors to retailers to giant offices are feeling the snow’s impact on morale. But the good news is that some of these same businesses have added a bit of humor to their workplace to get morale back up to where it should be.

What does more-than-usual snow and the resulting hit out Colorado attitudes this have to do with You? you ask as you sip your non-fat, decaf mocha latte in front of a cozy fireplace while munching on a biscotti. (Oh… I guess that’s ME with the mocha.) The point is that businesses in Denver are having to deal with low morale and are forced to think creatively about how to motivate their people in the face of unusual circumstances. If these companies can raise people’s sun-deprived attitudes in Denver with some positive, fun techniques, these ideas will work anywhere, even in Buffalo and Minneapolis.

No, these companies are not going to the lengths that apparently GoDaddy.com is doing for its marketing department. (If you don’t know what I’m talking about, check out GoDaddy’s commercials that first aired during the last couple of Super Bowls.)

What they are doing is using humor in the workplace to spice things up and give their employees a reason to enjoy coming into the office. For example, one of my consulting clients passes around a “garden gnome.” Yes, a ceramic statuette of a sprightly elf sporting a tall pointy hat, beard, chubby cheeks and all, designed to decorate one’s vegetable garden. The garden gnome signifies that a person in the office has done an exceptionally good job at something that day. And the something does not necessarily have to be directly related to meeting a sales goal or other measure of business. It can be as simple as smiling at someone in the hallway or cleaning out the office kitchen fridge. When someone at the company is spotted doing something that makes a difference, they are entered into the office gnome pool. Slips of paper detailing the good deeds are put in a box and at a designated time, a winner is chosen. The winner keeps the office gnome on their desk for the day.

I know winning an office gnome for a day doesn’t sound as morale-lifting as say, winning a new car, but the point is with this simple gesture the company has invested each of its employees with the responsibility of recognizing those who make a difference in the daily business of the office. By recognizing others who choose to make their workplace more livable and lively, they also begin to take stock of their own attitudes toward work. Employees begin to appreciate that others who invest in “positive attitude capital” raise the value of their workplace for everyone and not just themselves. As the garden gnome travels, it delivers a sense of pride to its temporary owner that translates into positive benefit for the company. That’s a lot of work for one small elf!

Different ideas in use by other companies to raise positive attitude capital are both large and small, cheap or more pricey. Some of the counter people at the Colorado Department of Motor Vehicles wear clown noses when they first interact with customers to generate laughs. It’s hard to be snippy with your DMV agent when she’s wearing a bright, red, round bubble on her nose. Another company intentionally brings customers the wrong order when they come in to pick up their product. Usually the order is the exact opposite of what the customer wanted. When the customer begins to get huffy, the company rep laughs and says, “April Fool,” even though it’s only February. (The woman who does this technique is brilliant in her own way. She is taking responsibility for her own happiness, and is taking steps to make it happen. Can you say the same about yourself?)

Another of my corporate clients has employees who are celebrating their birthday wear a special sign proclaiming their birthday. Because of the sign, other workers know to give the birthday boy or girl a dollar. By the end of the day, the honoree has collected enough money for a nice night out or a weeks worth of mocha lattes. All employees participate gladly because they know when their time comes around, they’ll get lots of happy birthday wishes, plus a big wad of cash. Other ideas:

Monthly visit from the chair massage people  Monthly visit from a manicurist  Weekly bagels and donuts  Random delivery of cookies to certain employees  Lunch out with the department head  Free parking for a month  Bring the kids to work day  Birthday balloons  Take-the-afternoon-off reward certificates

These are all simple things companies can do to liven up their worker’s days. Large companies often install workout rooms or daycare centers for their employees’ benefit. Maybe they’ll send a special employee to a week-long spa treatment. But the point is not in how much is spent. What’s important is what the employee takes away and then turns around and gives back.

It’s all part of the same plan: invest in making the workplace a positive, appreciative place and watch morale go up. As morale improves, turnover drops and productivity rises. Smart companies know that bosses and employees are all in it together. Those that work as a team to raise positive attitude capital can withstand even the longest winter of them all.

Brad Montgomery is hilarious motivational speaker and corporate comedian who reminds his audiences to take themselves less seriously in his laugh-out-loud keynote presentations.   He is an also the author of three books and a humor-in-the-workplace consultant.   Get a free audio recording at http://www.HumorJumpStart.com
