How to Start a Salsa Business – What to Know
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Carlos_S_Parisi]Carlos S Parisi

So you have a recipe for salsa and you want to start a business around it? You have come to the right place to find out how. Over the next few months I will be posting the ins and outs of owning and managing a salsa company; anywhere from how to get into stores, how to market and how to expand your product line. Today I’ll be discussing the primary aspects of starting your salsa company and continuing to maintain your stellar reputation as you grow amongst (and ideally, surpass) your competitors. Remember that these points are in no way “salsa specific”, and can be applied to any venture that you are tackling across multiple industries.

Let it be known, the entrepreneurial path is not an easy one, and whether you are getting involved out of necessity or just as a hobby for your spare time, remember to treat your company as you would any corporate job.

There are three key points to running a business smoothly in its infancy stage and beyond. They are:

Impeccable customer service
Relentless dedication to creating the best product possible for the market
Building relationships and networking

I’m sure you have heard the phrase, “the customer is always right”, and while this isn’t always true, you have to understand that if you frustrate your customer, they are not coming back to buy from you again. Barring any fluff talk, the customer can be right or wrong, but you have to tell them their right or you’re going to lose money. As an early entrepreneur, do not get frustrated if you have to swallow your pride every once and a while, it builds character and more importantly, patience, which will allow you to make better calls in the years to come. To make your life easier in responding to issues, have your business number routed to your personal cell phone. You can answer questions whenever they arise from accounts and singular customers. The people that are buying from you want to know you are there for them. Depending on how much your product actually costs is actually not a major factor here. Whether you’re selling a $2 product or a $2,000 product, customers expect the same level service across the board, so always be on par.

One of my favorite quotes relative to the food industry came from the founder of the Dearborn Sausage Company, Victor Kosch. He said, “If you’re going to make something good, make it good every time”. When you’re in the food business, that’s exactly what you have to remember when producing your lines. Consistency is the leading necessity when scaling your items, even a recipe for salsa can have fluctuations in heat due to growing conditions of your peppers, so make sure that you are following best practices in your manufacturing process. Their will be mistakes, and that’s OK, the goal though is to make sure that when you do start selling 50,000+ units per month, that you have worked out all of the kinks in your product.

I really can’t stress enough how effective relationship building and more specially networking will play as you grow your food business. As you develop your accounts and the other ends of your company, you will become the face of everything you sell. While your packaging may have a little character on it, or a mascot, it really is you that is the face of the business. If people like you, then they will buy your product 9 times out of 10. Always have business cards in hand, no matter where you go. I admit, I’ll even take them to the gym, you never know when you’re going to run into someone that can help you. Networking though is a bit more fun and lax, and has more interpersonal relationship aspects to it. You go out and have a drink or grab a cup of coffee and get to know someone, not always for business, but more so to help you connect the dots with others as you grow your company. Entrepreneurs love talking to other entrepreneurs, boosting someone’s industry knowledge or helping a “newby” push their first sale through is an extremely gratifying feeling. Once you learn a few things, make sure you share your knowledge.

Don’t be afraid as you pursue your career within your business. Following these three key points will help you expand your accounts and meet new people that can help you and keep your customers happy through your years of growing your (salsa) business.

Do you want to know what is success in the eyes of Apple’s guru, Steve Jobs?

Success has many fathers, some used to say. But when the most influential businessman of all time is trying to explain what is success, all you need to do is listen. Listen to Steve Jobs’ words of wisdom and try to take to your head as much as possible.

I don’t think there’s a need to introduce Mr Jobs for you. But let me try do it in a few words. Steven Paul Jobs (died in 2011) was an American entrepreneur, marketer and inventor who was the co-founder, chairman and CEO of Apple, Inc. Through Apple, he was widely recognized as a charismatic pioneer of the personal computer revolution and for his influential career in the computer and customer electronics field, transforming one industry after another, from computers and smartphones to music and movies.

So in my humble opinion, there won’t be so much exaggeration if I say that Steve Jobs is the best person who could tell you what is success.

Jobs is able to explain what is success to him. Take your time to sit relaxed and have all ears to the words Steve is saying.

There is no doubt for Jobs that you have to have a lot of passion for what you are doing. Without passion, there is no possibility for you to understand what is success. What is the reason for having passion for you activities you seem to do on a daily basis? Well, it is simple. If you can’t find passion, you will just give up. Any rational person would make such a step.

Steve Jobs is sure that if you don’t love it, if you don’t have fun doing your actions which can bring you nearer to the knowledge about what is success, you are going to give up. And that’s what happens to most people.

Jobs proposes you to look at the ones who ended up being successful, the people who exactly know what is success by their experience.

If you take the time to observe those people, it will be obvious to you that they definitely loved what they did and that’s why they were able to persevere.

If you understand what is success and what you must do to take it to the point where you touch your successful life and happiness, you are able to persevere even when it gets very tough to make it through.

According to the founder of Apple, you are put on the straight way to your failure if you don’t do what it takes to fall in love with what you are doing.

When it comes to getting what is success in life, the thing is you have to be a great talent seeker. Because no matter how smart you are, you need a team of very talented people. Only together you are able to see what is success in your business.

It is your task to figure out how to size your collaborators up very quickly and make decisions without knowing them too well. You must be able to build an organization which can eventually build itself without your help. So that’s why it so important to have great people around you in order to see what is success.

My name is Daniel Kasztura. I live in Poland. I love being myself. I like the issue of personal development. I want to add value to you by writing about how to grow as a person. I am convinced that you can be a better person if you constantly learn how to develop your personal skills. I would be honored to know you took advantage of the helpful lessons presented here. Good luck:)

Most people these days are brought up on the belief that succeeding in life is about working hard and nothing else. They’re told that they can be absolutely anything they want and that all it takes to achieve even the highest goals is enough determination. However – while hard work is certainly an important part of the equation – it’s important to realize that the big picture is actually about a lot more.

Ultimately, the X-factor that separates the world’s most successful people from the rest of the pack is a mindset and an overall outlook. The following traits are shared by all of the world’s top dogs. Do you have what it takes to make the grade?

Knowing When to Step Outside the Box

While it’s certainly true that rules exist for a reason, there’s one thing successful people understand that the others don’t. There is a time to follow the beaten path, but there’s also a time to deviate from the tried and true in order to blaze new trails. The business world’s current household names found success thanks to entrepreneurs that saw a space that needed to be filled and moved right into it. Think of ways you can do something valuable that no one else is doing and set yourself apart from the competition.

A Way With People

Successful people are good with people… and being a true people person is about a lot more than just knowing how to network. No matter what business you’re in, you need to know how to really make the most of opportunities to connect with others on a profound level. Successful people never miss a chance to meet important individuals who could help them reach their goals and they make it a point to build strong, mutually beneficial bonds with clients and customers. They’re always looking for ways to improve their social skills as well.

A Knack for Problem Solving

Truly successful people almost seem to have a sixth sense not only for identifying issues and problems within a given system, but for coming up with ways things can be improved for the better. This is more than just an ability. It’s also something these people are truly passionate about. Start thinking like a true bigwig today by developing your own ability to solve problems and fill niches.

Commitment, Commitment, Commitment

People who are talented, smart, or good at coming up with ideas are a dime a dozen. It’s people who are committed to achieving their goals no matter what that ultimately win the race. Every endeavor will run into setbacks and seemingly insurmountable obstacles at some point. Successful people never, ever lose steam when this happens. They come up with solutions and put them into effect without thinking twice about it.

A True Drive to Succeed

Truly successful people don’t think of success as a one-time achievement. For them, it’s an ongoing process. Once they reach one goal they set for themselves, they keep right on going when it comes to setting and reaching others. Never stop searching for opportunities to grow and better yourself. Stay hungry for that next big opportunity and always be looking ahead toward the future.

As you can see, success really is about a state of mind that you can train yourself to adopt. Get started today and join the ranks of the successful tomorrow!

Our Words Are Like Toothpaste

Words are powerful tools. Be careful how you use them.

Our Words Are Like Toothpaste
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Charlene_C_Tops]Charlene C Tops

Sometimes having a visual to teach a lesson is very effective. One day, when my children were younger, I shared with them a” Life Lesson” about the usage of words. I had them gather around the table and gave each one of them an unopened tube of toothpaste with a blank sheet of paper. I asked them to open up the toothpaste and squirt it all out on the paper. They had so much fun doing this. I mean seriously when is a kid ever told they can play with the toothpaste! Of course, during this time they were constantly asking questions about why they were doing this. I told them they would soon find out.

After they had successfully emptied their tubes of toothpaste, I told them to put all the toothpaste back into the tube! They laughed and said, “Mom, that’s not possible!” That is the exact concept I wanted them to grasp. What an open moment to teach a valuable lesson.

I explained to them that our WORDS are just like the toothpaste, once they come out of your mouth you can never get them back! It is so important to think before you spurt out words that you may later regret. So often we speak before we think. It is easier to react with out taking the time to pause before we speak. We need to become aware of the power of our words. Phrases that we shot out of our mouths without thought may be damaging to those around us. It is too late once said. We can apologize or say that we didn’t really mean what we say, but the words will echo in the mind of the recipient long after they being said.

When I was in 5th grade my family moved to a new town and I began a new school. I remember being excited for the new adventure as I was always a social butterfly. My experiences were not so positive. Classmates tormented me through name calling. Fellow classmates made fun of me. I remember playing the game, Red Rover. I was always the last one chosen. Not only was I last but they had nicknamed me “Rover… like a dog.” It was so painful to hear the words, “Red Rover, Red Rover send Rover right over!” As you can see, I still remember those cruel words.

Today I remind you to always be mindful of your words. Before you react or respond to others listen to what you are saying. Take the time to formulate a wise answer. Use your words to lift up, to build up and to encourage those around you!

This little experience with the toothpaste has remained with my family throughout the years. We still say, Remember the toothpaste!

In a fast paced world we often lose sight of who we are and where we want to go. Let me empower you reach the TOP of the life YOU want to live! Visit http://www.topsspot.ca

Having the Mindset of a Champion

Having the Mindset of a Champion

How do you keep your head above the clouds and joy in your heart? It starts with mindset, which is your attitude and way of thinking. Until you figure this principle out you my find yourself sinking, gasping for breath, especially in difficult times.

I hear people talking about the recession, the media fixated on the negative events in the world, and people consumed by fear and uneasiness. Are you tired of all this negativity? Is the weight of the world getting too heavy to carry, and have you worried yourself to sleep too many nights? Are you ready for a breath of fresh air?

Start with changing your mindset. You might say, “Yeah, but I’ve lost my job. Money is tight. I can’t be successful in this town. It’s too hard to meet anyone around here.” I’m aware of the fact that the economy has slowed and times are tricky, but I promise you that thinking about it or talking negatively of it won’t do you any good.

You see, our mind is extremely powerful and our body becomes trained to respond to our thinking. Your sub-conscious mind moves at an alarming speed and is in constant action. This means your sub-conscious is always moving you in a direction. Be sure it isn’t moving in a negative direction.
Have you ever thought to yourself, “I should do that” then before you know it you’re barraged with an onslaught of thoughts reminding you of your past mistakes, failures and reasons why you can’t. It’s because your sub-conscious mind is not properly trained. Just like we train our muscles we must also train our brains. You may not always be able to control the first thought that enters your mind, but you can train the second.

A few tips to help you achieve the mindset set of a victor (rather than that of a victim) are:
Surround yourself with positive people. One of the largest influences on human beings is the people with whom you spend your time. Find a group of winners; people who celebrate success and will help you to achieve the life you desire.

Read powerful books. There is an abundance of great wisdom to be shared in so many wonderful books. A few of my favorites are from authors like Joel Osteen, Rick Warren, Lou Holtz, and John Wooden.

Get your head out of the news. What good is this really doing you? Any worthwhile news will make its way to you. Don’t sit in front of the TV letting bad news pour over you. Move beyond all that. It’s not worth wasting your time or emotions.

Start each day with a positive quote or mantra. Set your mind in the right direction from the start. Write inspirational quotes or scripture on a 3X5 card and carry it with you, so when things get negative, turn to your card and read it, believe it and soak it into your thoughts.

I’ve been mocked for my beliefs and I’ve been told that I just live in this positive little bubble. I guess this may be true, but I love my bubble and honestly, there is nothing wrong with living in a bubble as long as it’s the right bubble. Unfortunately the world can be down right nasty. This is exactly the reason why we all need a place, a bubble or a belief larger than this world to lean on and turn to. I add onto my shelter everyday in multiple positive ways. I’m building a place of love, abundance, joy and happiness, which can’t be measured by a bank account, a car or a job. Let go of your pride, ego, fear and anger. They will do you no good. Start taking big breaths of fresh air and think like John Wooden who said, “Things turn out best for people who make the best of the way things turn out.”
